Dear Colleagues,
Dear Friends,
I hope you are well.
I hope you are enjoying the games and being inspired by the athletes. So many inspiring moments and stories. This is also why today we have released the story of our late president Patrick. Visionaries like Patrick have set the foundations for athletes to shine.
I am reaching out to you today to inform you on our upcoming UTS World Virtual Youth Festival 2021 edition. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed in putting together the competition criteria for the upcoming second edition. By next week we will send you more information. I hope that this time round every AIMS member and observer will motivate some of their youth to participate, regardless in the competition, talent or the ambassador programme.
We will also work closely together with many organisations and this is why yesterday we congratulated Professor Yunus for getting the Olympic Laurel. He is also a firm supporter of our initiative, together with others like Ban Ki Moon, president of the IOC, president of the IPC and SOI. Your participation in the event also brings your federation closer to these organisations and leaders. This is why I have hopes that all of you will be part in one way or another. The finals are from the 20th -27th of November, so heaps of time to put everything together, we hope.
I will come back to you next week with more information on SportAccord and upcoming activities from our side in November.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend, be safe and enjoy Tokyo.
In friendship and respect.
Stephan
